Frequently asked questions
Information to help you prepare documents and choose the right service
Find answers by topic below. For documents with specific requirements, send the materials and receiving organization's instructions so TanViet can assess a suitable approach.
Sending documents and requesting quotes
What do I need to provide for a quotation?
Send the documents or content inventory, language pair, intended use, output format and deadline. If the full document set is not ready, send a sample to discuss the scope first.
Can photos be used for a quotation?
Clear photos showing the full page and all pages with content can be used. Blurred or incomplete documents must be supplemented to determine the volume accurately.
What determines translation costs?
Costs depend on volume, language pair, specialist complexity, formatting, certification requirements and deadline. The pricing unit and scope of work are clearly stated in the quotation.
Can you translate only part of a document?
You can select the sections to translate or arrange staged delivery. Clearly identify priority pages, sections or files and send related materials to preserve context.
Documents and timelines
Does notarized translation require the original document?
Requirements for checking originals depend on the document type, form of certification and receiving organization. Send images for preliminary review; any additional materials needed will be confirmed for your document set.
Can notarized translation be completed immediately?
Same-day feasibility is confirmed after reviewing the language, volume, document quality and time of receipt. There is no single delivery schedule for every set of documents.
Does every document require consular legalization?
The issuing country, destination country, document type, purpose and exemptions must be checked. Send the receiving organization's requirements to clarify the preparation steps.
What if I add documents while translation is underway?
New documents and revised versions should be clearly marked. Additional volume, costs and effects on the delivery schedule are discussed before work proceeds.
Quality and formatting
Can I request editing of an existing translation?
Yes. Send the source and corresponding translation so we can assess the extent of revisions. Delivery with tracked changes or a comments table can be agreed if the format supports it.
Will table layouts be preserved?
The delivery layout is determined according to the source files. Scans, text within images and complex diagrams require checks of editability and layout workload.
How are website and app translations delivered?
Delivery can be by URL, string table, content key or system export format. Variables, tags and elements that must remain untranslated should be identified in advance; data entry and interface checks are clearly included in the scope.
Are reference materials necessary?
Terminology, approved translations, brand examples and specialist materials help maintain consistent names and tone. Send materials you are authorized to use with your translation request.
Contact and collaboration
How do I submit a request and follow up?
Use the quick quotation page, consultation form on a service page or contact page. Provide the correct phone number or email so TanViet can follow up about your documents.
Where can I apply to work as a translator?
